PS4 Accounts For 70% Of Current-Gen Console Sales In Italy

It seems like there are no signs of the Sony train slowing down any time soon and further proof of this has come straight out of Italy.

According to Sony, the PS4 is commanding the console market in Italy with a 70% share of current-gen consoles. When compared to the PS3, Sony have revealed that the PS4 is selling 60% faster than its predecessor in the same period of time. It has also been revealed that PS Plus has an exceptional attach rate in the country with 50% of PS4 owners subscribing to the service.

This news probably won’t shock anyone, Sony PS4 has been selling exceptionally well in other regions since its release. Most recently, it was revealed that the console has surpassed the two million mark in the UK which, in the same period of time since launch, is faster than the PS2 managed. Lets see what the next 18 months will bring for the console.

  1. I didn’t think the difference would be that big but then it is just one country. Things are possibly a bit closer in the rest of eu.

  2. I guess the Xbox One and FIFA bundle didn’t sway the italians :)
