Microsoft and Square Enix have provided us with a glimpse of what to expect from the new Tomb Raider. The cinematic trailer has Lara Croft actress Camilla Luddington providing the narration as her character makes the perilous climb up a snowy mountain to find the entrance to a cave. There is no gameplay footage unfortunately, but a full gameplay reveal is expected during the Microsoft conference at E3.

No, they were deliberately cagey about it if I recall.
I’m all about keeping the mystery of something as just that, but when its a simple yes or no answer & you get a 3 page essay (both sides of A4!), you know you aren’t really going to find out until such a time as they deem necessary.

It’s been confirmed by Phil spencer and Meagan Marie (Community Manager for Crystal Dynamics ) That it is indeed a timed exclusive. Used that exact phrase and everything. Quite why they spent so long faffing with this whole ‘it has a duration nonsense’ is beyond me.

I’ll be renting the game. First Tomb Raider game I haven’t bought on release day but if they want to screw over their (playstation) fans, it goes both ways.
