Ubisoft just opened their E3 presser by announcing a brand new IP, in what they say is a brand new genre. The game is called For Honor and it looks to be a combat game full of swords, shields and bows that pits four fighters against four other fighters, with AI combatants thrown in for good measure.
Ubisoft Montreal is at the helm and although we’re not exactly certain how this is considered a new genre since we already have games that are somewhat similar to this, it looks like it could be cool and the combat seemed to work well. No word on a launch date yet but it’s playable at E3 which hopefully means it’s not too far down the line.

Samurai vs Viking? Reminded me of that Deadliest Warrior TV show. Gonna need a bit more substance to whet my appetite.
