Update: The new Hitman has just appeared at Sony’s E3 conference, and it will get a digital release before physical. During the conference it was also confirmed that there will be a console exclusive beta on PS4. Furthermore there will be six exclusive missions that will release over the year after Hitman is released.  No date was announced but if the store page from earlier is to go by expect the digital release in December.
Original Story:
Square Enix aren’t due to show their E3 hand for another few hours yet, but Sony seem to have listed one of their big reveals on the PlayStation 4 store a little early.
Hitman, which – like everything else – seems to be forgoing any subtitles this year, is pegged for a December 8th release on the platform, and is available now for the pre-order price of £39.99.

The game listing gives little away, but, coupled with the naming, seems to be hinting at a reboot of sorts. It also mentions the title will contain microtransactions or “in-game purchases”. We’ll be keeping our eye on Sony and Square Enix’ conferences for more info on the game.
