Rather short notice I’m afraid, but Driveclub and several other Sony first party games will be offline for most of today, as of about now. Online services for the titles below will be affected.

- Guns Up
- Killzone 3
- LBPK
- MLB14
- MLB 15
- Motorstorm 3 PS3
- Ratchet PS3
- Starhawk
- Wipeout
A similar maintenance window occurred earlier this week on Tuesday, the games should be back online by 5pm BST this evening.
Meanwhile, Destiny will also be offline from midday today for scheduled maintenance, Bungie have not specified how long this will last.
Players will be unable to sign into Destiny for planned maintenance at 4am PDT on Thursday, July 9th.

Worries me they are taking PS3 games offline. Maybe another round of server closures is inbound?

I’d have to say that ‘downtime’ is not usually good news but given the lack of stability over the past week it maybe what psn needs. I’d happily have a day or two offline to get it back up to level it should be running at. I feel that Sony, for obvious reasons, are keeping these current issues low profile.

Apart from the fact that this isn’t PSN maintenance, it is specific titles which are offline. That won’t do anything for the stability of the service unfortunately.

Well, I hope Destiny’s maintenance period is a relatively short one, as otherwise the two days that I have had to play it this week will both have been scuppered by factors not of my making. Tuesday due to PSN being a bit broken for most of the evening & today due to their own maintenance (possibly).
The irony is that yesterday would usually have been the second day I have available to play, but date night was moved as the missus is out this evening! :/
Not really a complaint, but it is (potentially) a bit inconvenient.

Ok, found this on the help section of the Bungie website;
“Beginning at 4:00 AM PDT (11:00 AM UTC), Destiny will be taken offline for scheduled maintenance.
Players signed in shortly before then will receive prior notice via in-game messaging.
Players will not be able to log into Destiny once the maintenance has started.
Maintenance is scheduled to conclude around 12:00 PM PDT (7:00 PM UTC)”
7pm UTC is around 8pm BST isn’t it? Not so bad if so I suppose.
