Street Fighter V’s DLC & Updates Will Be Free & Earnable In Game

Capcom is taking a big step with Street Fighter V and the way content will be delivered to players, with a shift towards making all of the game’s future content free or earnable in game. It looks like Capcom will be abandoning the multiple releases of the same game but with slight updates, like Super Street Fight IV for example, and will instead roll out any updates to the game for free meaning the player base won’t get fractured.

Additional characters will also be released for free and will be unlockable in the game using Fight Money, which is earned through playing the game. If you wish to buy the characters and use them straight away there is to option to pay for them with real money and skipping any grind needed to access them. Some players will be able to experience Street Fighter V from this Thursday if signed up before July 15th, and if selected. If you’ve applied then keep an eye on your emails.

  1. TIIIIIGGGGGEEEERRRRRR Uppercut! Thats all I have to say.

  2. Good move, though you can be sure the fight money needed will take a long time to earn for dlc characters & costumes.

  3. Didn’t they say no super, hyper, ultra etc for sf4? Way back when
