Pang Is Being Rebooted, Coming To Mobile, PC And Consoles

One of the great things about owning an Amiga or Atari ST was the huge number of arcade games that were ported over, some of which you were unlikely to find by the British seaside. Pang was one such title (also know as Buster Bros in the U.S. or Pomping World in Japan) and I spent ages playing the Amiga game with my friends.

Parisian developers DotEmu (Another Worldand Pastagames (Pix The Cat) have joined forces to bring the game back as Pang Adventures, which will “maintain the original spirit of the game while delivering some surprises and new features!”

The premise is simple, you control one of the brothers at the bottom of the screen and fire a harpoon upwards in an attempt to pop the bouncing bubbles. It sounds simple (and it is) but it’s devilishly addictive and great fun with two players.

Pang Adventures will be coming to PC, mobiles and unspecified consoles.

  1. Pang is immense. Used to be the arcade machine in my local Fish & Chip shop. Buying it.

  2. I’m definitely up for this, count me in. Bubble Bobble next please.

    • I would literally kill for Bubble Bobble. In fact I’d commit genocide for Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Island and Parasol Stars on PS4 and PS Vita.

  3. Yay!!! I have this on ZX Spectrum still :-) Great to see this return and it can’t go seriously wrong (he says)

  4. Used to love this back in the day. Had it firstly on the C64 (on cartridge no less, no load times) and then on the Amiga. Hoping for a PS4 release.
