Train Valley Steams Out Of Early Access On September 16th

The quite charming train-based puzzle game Train Valley has been in Early Access for the past four months, but it’s not long before it reaches release, with departure from Early Access and into a full release now firmly set for September 16th.

Train Valley might look simple – and it is – but it has a devilish streak of difficulty to its puzzles, as you have to manage a small rail network and try to ensure that the expensive cargos reach their destination safely and before what’s in their wagons loses all its value. Set in classic eras of train travel in Europe, America and Russia, there are often thematic devices, such as needing to shuffle the resources around while a rocket is being built. Japan was added as a fourth location during the Early Access process.

Looking at the game’s initial Early Access release, Gazza wrote, “Overall, I’m quite impressed with Train Valley. For an Early Access game, it already has a level of polish most games don’t manage. The gameplay is frustrating and addictive, but it’s also incredibly rewarding once you finally complete the mission. I think most people either love or hate traffic management games, and you’ll probably know if it is for you or not as soon as Train Valley’s genre becomes clear.”

  1. First I’ve heard of this game, might give it a go.

  2. But due to the wrong type of letters being on Steam’s UK portal, it will be delayed by a week until it is cancelled due to the bloke in charge of releasing it not turning up thus the replacement Valley will have to do.

    • Does that really happen?

      • No but it may happen if this is ever released on PSN in EU due to SCEE’s reputation(Granted, i am out of the loop) being a bit infamous for finding reasons to not release certain games.

  3. I like the idea but to be honest, I’d take a Sid Meier game over that any day.
