After a week’s break for our EGX pubcast, this week’s episode returns to something close to normality. Unfortunately Kev wasn’t feeling too hot, so couldn’t make this episode, but we were joined by Blair as our special guest; hopefully that makes up for any Kev based disappointment.
After moving through our pick of the week’s news, including a heavy discussion on everything wrong with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, we moved onto what we’ve been up to. For Blair that meant talking about his recently announced game, Membrain. He’s most keen for people to vote for the game on Steam Greenlight, which you can do here.
Sadly Lewis and I don’t have anything quite as interesting as a newly announced game, but Lewis has been playing through a good chunk of the Batman: Akrham Knight DLC and shared his thoughts on all of that. As for me, I relate my experiences with Homefront: The Revolution during EGX.

I was amazed at the audio quality in the pubcast, it was clearer than some of the normal podcasts! Whatever phone you have Kris, it’s a goodun’. Looking forward to listening to this in the car on my commute, I’ve had a couple of weeks off work and missed my alone time!

Thanks, I think? Was recorded on my very battered iPhone 5, but probably better as everyone was on the same mic, so consistency!

Sorry, it was definitely a compliment! It must be tough putting together the podcast, the only criticism I ever have is the difference in volumes between some of you and that’s only a problem because I listen whilst driving. I never wanted to mention it because I understand why it happens and actually your volumes and clarity are often better than some of the BBCs podcasts. Its excellent mate, I honestly love listening. Maybe you could do a quick section on how you record, edit and publish the podcast one day? I’d be interested to know, apologies if you’ve done that before, I only started listening at episode 150.

How much did you spent on your phone?! 800 pounds?! Christ! ;O
The Tony Hawk game is fuckin dreadful, but after hearing the reason why they made the title it all makes sense :D Just to keep the TH name contract. Awesome.
The first Homefront was a good game that looked very bad, but had an interesting world behind it. I liked it, but I got it as a gift, so not paying a PLN for it kind of probably affected my opinion. Nevertheless I’m glad there is a second part and good luck to the studio to make it a much, MUCH better game than the original. From what Kris described the features sound amazing and refreshing. Looking forward to seeing more.
That joke was classic. Well done Blair.
