Ubisoft has also announced that it has acquired The Crew’s developer Ivory Tower, making it part of the family. A statement was issued by Ivory Tower’s Managing Director Ahmed Boukhelifa:

“We’ve always enjoyed a very positive relationship with Ubisoft. Working together on The Crew, and celebrating its success, made us both understand that we have huge potential in continuing to work together in the future. By joining Ubisoft, the team at Ivory Tower will continue to benefit from Ubisoft’s infrastructure, support, tools, technology and vision. In return, we will contribute our own expertise to the broader Ubisoft story.”

The Crew: Wild Run will be releasing on November 17th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

  1. I’m glad I didn’t trade it in, sounds like it’ll be rather good.

  2. So is this a new game, or DLC for The Crew? Bit confused as it says “Edition”.

    • It’s an expansion to the main game with new cars, modes and events. The Wild Run ‘edition’ just packages the main game plus the expansion for new customers as the original is required.
However there is a patch coming at the same time to update the graphics and physics of the base game for those who don’t buy it.

From what I’ve seen so far it looks like a cool mash up of Burnout Paradise’s freedrive challenges and MotorStorm’s festival feeling. It could be good.

      • Thanks for clarifying, that’s quite a lot of content for new adopters then, it’s tempting!
