Rocket League Getting Free Mutators Update In November, Adds New Game Types

Psyonix has announced that Rocket League will be getting a major free update this November in the form the Mutators update. Mutators include new game modes and settings to change up the kind of matches that can be played in the arenas. Notable inclusion are Moonball in which gravity is lowered, and Demolition mode too. There will also be a classic mode based on Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.

Then in December a new sport makes its way to Rocket League, with Psyonix adding a hockey mode. This will also be a free addition and replaces the ball with a hockey puck instead. The arenas will also be coated in ice, if the trailer is anything to go by.

  1. I was all loved up with rocket league, then I suddenly got bored, so this is very welcome. I will buy the delorean now!

  2. I have still been playing RL religiously for the past 2 months this is just further justification to stick with it.
This will certainly mix things up a bit.
