With less than a week to go before Fallout 4 launches Bethesda have posted the final trailer. It features plenty of gameplay, a rather ferocious mini-gun, and a couple of large mutant creatures on the receiving end of the aforementioned mini-gun.

  1. I’m kinda put off by the fact it’s gonna be so huge and complicated. I tried Fallout 3 but couldn’t get into it. Same with Skyrim. Just too overwhelming for my little brain! Annoying as I’m sure it’ll be good.

  2. Even before this was announced I was considering maybe picking up and playing F3 and FNV as I’ve never played a Fallout game before.
And when F4 was announced, I thought “this is the time to do it”

But then I saw F3 featured on The First Hour on Ginx, and it looked really dated, ugly, clunky and talky Talky, talky, talky.
    Or should I say “read-y”.

Is it too late to get into F3? Have I been too spoiled by current gen graphics and fast/normal paced action?
At least I’m pretty damn sure that there’s no going back if I play F4 first…

    • I wouldn’t go back now, as it may put you off F4, which should be very good. F3 and FNV are also very glitchie and suffer from major frame-rate issues as your save file gets larger. I’d definitely take a punt on F4 though, as F3 was an incredible game at the time of it’s release and I expect F4 will be very good indeed!

    • Yeah I would start with F4. F3 is still a buggy glitchy mess.

      • Hey guys,

Sorry about the late reply, but many thanks for the valuable feedback. Sounds to me like you just saved me from 400 hours of agony.

  3. I shall be sitting in home drinking tea out of my F4 cup, wearing my Nuka-Cola tee-shirt on Tuesday in anticipation for the Postie to slip this into my slot they call the letterbox on Tuesday. Great YouTube had me bubbling over the top for this now. Just give it me, please.

    • is that what they call it now? ^_^

  4. finally, we get to hear some of Courtenay Taylor’s work in some of the game’s promotional material.
    was that so hard Bethesda?

    anyway, can’t wait.
feels like i’ve been waiting years for a sequel to Fallout 3, New Vegas was cool and all, but it wasn’t quite a match for F3.

and so far, F4 looks fan-bloody-tastic.
from the customisation, the fully voiced protagonist, the base building, and what will i’m sure be metric boatload of stuff to do, i think it’s safe to say my PS4 eject button won’t be getting much use after Tuesday.

    and only five days away.
Monday’s gonna be the longest day ever.

and Tuesday is going to seem far too short.

it’s nice to see a game announced, and be able to play it in less than six months, instead of waiting years.

    • Ah, you don’t seem to have factored in the day one glitches that Bethesda/Fallout games are now notorious for.

Expect it to be fully playable in just over 6 months. ;)

  5. Looks amazing. Have this preordered with Tesco and there double club card boost
