  1. PACMAN, Putty Squad, R-Type, Monkey Island, Earthworm Jim, Missile Command…. Oh no wait I’ll just fire up my Amiga for those.

    • Twist: They ARE the Amiga versions, running on emulation on a 360, that is being emulated by an XB1

      • …Running through a secret PlayStation Now link…

      • emulception? ^_^

        i’ll get me coat.

    • Good luck trying to play the rest…

  2. Would I be right in guessing my digital games from the 360 like castle crashers would become downloadable again on the Xbone?

    • Yes. The disc releases also.

    • Yes. They’ll appear in your Games & apps section and you just download them like any other game/demo you’ve previously had.

      • Sweet, thanks. Just because I noticed a lot of arcade games on this list. Might keep my Xbone after all

  3. Good list, lots of previous GwG games that I’ll be able to play. Hopefully they add more each month or so.

  4. Alan Wake :'(

  5. weird that that’s the only Halo on the list.
but then i suppose they want people to buy the MCC, or maybe it’s technical.

    • They’ve said more Halo games are coming. Including Reach and Wars.

      • Looking at the new trailer it seems that Fable III, Just Cause 2, and Operation Flashpoint will be joining that list under the ‘more on the way’ header. All of which along with Halo Wars and Dirt 3 I’ve missed out on and get a chance to play.

  6. Poor list, and those that do make a showing are laggy and unplayable. This is all PR and no substance.

Expect this list to be pretty much it, like the abandoned Xbox compatibility on the 360. It was all about PR, and the reality was something else entirely.

    • Give over, it’s a great list and it’s just the start.

      • Really? It’s b list games at best, and the more demanding (me3) are unplayable.

History is repeating itself, Microsoft pulled this lame BC stunt in the past and it ended badly

      • Mass Effect 3 isn’t on the list. The first one is, I have it and have played it through BC thanks to the preview program. Guess what? It’s perfectly playable.

Please stop with your uninformed troll-posts.

      • Eurogamer also state its unplayable.

“Status: Sub-optimal and nearly unplayable in places.”

I don’t have an Xbox one, but I saw a friend play this before he sold his , be was disappointed, and it was the reason he decided he had enough with Microsoft empty promises.

  7. As a totally free addition, it’s an excellent list. Plenty on there I enjoyed on my 360 before I got a PS3. Obviously lots more I imagine people would like to see on there, but as I don’t have an Xbox1, I don’t really care.
