Digital Dreams Expands On The Changes For Metrico+, Out Early 2016

Metrico originally released as a PS Vita exclusive in 2014, and was part of a PS Plus line up. It received a good review from us, due to its unique style and the way it played. Earlier this year Digital Dreams confirmed it would be bringing the game to the PS4, though with added worlds and development changes that meant the name was changed to Metrico+. Digital Dreams says it is like a new game as simply porting over the Vita version wouldn’t work on PS4.

A lot of feedback was taken on board by Digital Dreams, with it having an impact on how Metrico+ has been developed. There are now more eventful moments as well as better pacing within the game. The music has also been changed so it doesn’t loop as much either. The character animations will also be changed for Metrico+,and there will be different trophies too.

These new changes mean that some of the worlds that were present in the Vita version won’t be present, or will be changed to accommodate a controller. Digital Dreams also didn’t confirm whether Metrico+ would be a cross buy title, but did state that the studio wouldn’t be comfortable with putting the game up for full price for those who already own the Vita copy.
