Along with just about every other franchise, Telltale Games are now also making a Batman series, it’s been announced.
Telltale revealed that the episodic game series will arrive first digitally on home consoles, PC, Mac, and mobile devices. Specific platform details are yet to be revealed.
“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.
“This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”
Teased earlier at The Game Awards in LA, the full announcement trailer will be available for online viewing later this week.

I’m all for more TellTale games, however they need to “up” their game as there are still some issues with the frame rate and stuttering. Also, I think they should elaborate on the story paths more as a the choices you made only ever seem to make insignificant changes to the overall plot. I guess it’s difficult as they need to have the story end with only certain variants, particularly if there are going to be further seasons – as they’ll end up needing to create even more outcomes.

yea kind of weird that the story path don’t affect anything in the game much.you would of thought they would base trophies/achievements around choice of path.the end result is a platinum regardless.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. A Superman game needs to be made. We’ve been spoilt with good Batman games over the past few years. I said in the past, the only way to negate Superman’s powers in a video game would be to do in the style that Heavy Rain was, but a Telltale approach would be even better.
I hope they discussed that in the meetings with DC

Well, there’s already been plenty of good Batman games, i guess it’s time for a change.

After finishing telltales game of thrones effort I’m a bit burnt out with their games now. I agree with the other comments that the decisions aren’t affecting the story enough. The issue with basing games on established characters is you know who can and cannot die.
Plus the gimmick of releasing on every platform known to man means the game is set to the lowest powered system and not really improved for the others.
