One thing that we always love to see on TSA is the community chipping in on news posts, features and reviews with your own thoughts and feelings on a given matter. It could be something dull like a pre-announcement of an announcement teaser trailer, or something really exciting like and announcement teaser trailer, but you’re rarely afraid to wade in.
It’s been clear over the last week that seeing how the team of TSA writers and contributors have voted in some of our Game of the Year awards has got you thinking about which games, soundtracks, characters and more have stood out for you in the last year. So now it’s your turn. We want you to vote in the same categories that we did and give us your collective verdict on what the best game of 2015 was.
The voting will be open from now until the end of the Christmas and Boxing Day bank holiday weekend, so please have your form submitted by 23:59PM on Monday 28th December. You don’t have to vote in every category, so feel free to leave some unpicked, and please note that we’ve generally excluded remakes, re-releases and remasters from consideration – outside of the Best Remaster category!
Please only vote once, as subsequent votes will not be counted.

Until Dawn GOTY. Pretty average year overall mind you. No absolute stan-outs for me but 2016 is going to be a great year I think.

The Witcher 3 got alot of my votes, but a stand out game for me was Tales from the Borderlands.

I haven’t played a single game from that list! 2015 was a pretty crap year for games imo, everything ended up being an overhyped disappointment. Here’s hoping 2016 is better…

If you haven’t played a single game from the list, how do you know everything was an overhyped disappointment?
I’ve missed out on a few of the biggest titles (or only got to play a short amount at someone else’s house) and I’m still very happy with the high quality games released this year.

For me, there were good games but nothing I would want to play a remaster of in five years time on the PS5. I don’t think there have been ANY games this gen that are worthy of a remaster (if there are remasters next gen). Just play and throw away.

Maybe my wording was bad, but it’s more that none of the games there interested me, and games that I was interested in, (Rainbow Six, Battlefront etc) turned out to be disappointments.

Considerably more difficult for me this year than last where DA:I was the clear standout. This year I’ve really loved Witcher 3, Bloodborne and FO4 but for quite different reasons. Decisions made though and votes placed.

Like last year, I’ve only been able to answer 3 or 4 catagories. AC Syndicate was GOTY, which is saying something. This year was definitely better than last, but it’s still nothing like the height of the PS3/PS2/PS1 eras. Probs played about 5 games this year. Fingers crossed for 2016, although the fact you’ve not done the usual 100 games to watch topics doesn’t fill me with hope.

Had to leave almost everything blank, as I’ve mostly played older games this year, and spent a lot of time on some new games, which in the end I cannot give any recommendation.

I went for SOMA. loved so many games this year fallout, witcher, dragon age, divinity etc.
But soma is the only game to make think.

Congratulations. This was the correct choice.

Mgs5 for everything!
Starman
No Gears of War in best multiplayer or shooter category, and no Elder Scrolls in best rpg? Bit of an odd decision to omit them.

We’ve avoided having remakes and remasters such as Gears of War Ultimate Edition in anything other than the Best Remaster category. They might be great, but unless they add something substantially new. (And now that I say this, you’re bound to dig up one or two examples which contradict this)
I’ve added Elder Scrolls Online to RPG, which was an oversight rather than an explicit decision. As it is, we’re making an exception because the game was out on PC in 2014.
Starman
Ah fair enough.

Completing this just made me realise what a poor year 2015 has been for gaming. Other than sequels there really hasn’t been much released that personally interests me.
