Sony’s chief executive Kaz Hirai has spoken to the BBC during CES and has said that there are over one hundred PlayStation VR games in development. He also hints at VR content from Sony Pictures right at the end of the interview, which you can watch below.
We also get a very brief glimpse of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood on a screen. Blink and you will miss it!

Just saw this on Twitter – http://www.vgchest.com/vgcwp/playstation-vr-listing-spotted-on-amazon-with-hefty-pricetag/ – never heard of the site before, and also if a price was actually posted, it may be completely wrong.

“Sony have moved quickly to correct Amazon, stating “This was an error by Amazon, we haven’t announced a price for PlayStation VR.”
The price has been removed. So do not panic yet.

Interesting stuff. To round the price down would make it roughly £500. Not unreasonable given that although PSVR has slightly less illustrious specs than Oculus, it does have that extra box doing some of its wizardry. I wonder if we’ll really see a £300 price tag. It’d be good if they managed it.

All eyes on the prize – sorry, price.

It all comes down to price, if Sony can bring the PSVR to market with a price considerably lower than Oculus I can see their HMD doing well, especially with all those games in development.
MrYd
With that Oculus price, Sony may well attempt to sell PSVR for more than they were planning. £399 maybe? And then it’ll be a complete disaster, and 4 of those 100 games in development will ever get released.
On the plus side, you’ll be able to pick them up cheap in 12 months time, with a handful of games to play.
But I’m eating chilli liquorice, so I don’t really care about anything else right now.

Chilli liquorice? I love liquorice but never heard of chilli before. Now i need to find me some of that!
MrYd
This apparently comes from Denmark. Possibly via a shop in London. I didn’t ask, since the correct response to strange things for christmas is “thankyou”, not “where’d you get that??”
It’s rather nice though. Better than some of the other weird liquorice things from that part of the world. (Salty?? That seems wrong)

I need to experience this reality too!
MrYd
There’s a website just selling liquorice? Why am I surprised by this? Of course there is.
And the one in question is…
http://www.allthingsliquorice.co.uk/products/danish/lakrids-no-4-habenero-chili.html
Which seems expensive for a little jar of liquorice. Oh well. Someone obviously loves me.

Here’s a little game – Let’s see how many of the ‘100 games’ in development for PSVR make it to live and then how many of them score higher than say 7 out of 10.
My cynical head is firmly on this afternoon, Miss Sally, and ain’t nobody gonna take it off me.

Dead Space with this will be terrifying. Outlast, would be incredible. Wonder if they’ll be an option to allow current titles on the 4 to be played using VR?
