EU PS Store Update 09/02/16: Unravel, Firewatch & Dying Light: The Following

It’s a jam packed store update this week, as a raft of digital titles and expansion packs have made their way to release all at the same time. We have the EA-backed Unravel, the gorgeous Firewatch, the console release of Gone Home, a big new expansion for Dying Light: The Following, the third in a trilogy of Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, and more. As I said, it’s a busy week!

Unfortunately, the recent removal of prices from the EU PS Blog makes their list particularly unhelpful, not least because many of the games don’t even have links to the store this week, with a number of game entries yet to appear. Keep an eye on the store’s Lastest Games and DLC page, and we’ll endeavour to add a few prices and links down the line.

UPDATE: PlayStation UK have just tweeted Firewatch will not be on the store until 6pm. Because reasons.

  1. Downloading Unravel and AC Russia right now. Thought Unravel would be expensive, so was surprised and pleased with the £15 price tag. Barely even started AC India, so who knows why I bought AC Russia. Didn’t see Firewatch on the store? Gonna wait for a patch on that anyway.

    • Have updated the post, see above

      • Perhaps held back a week for a patch?

      • No, just a set launch time at 6PM.

Also, it’s important to remember that though TC ran into a lot of problems, it seems it was isolated to just him. I checked a number of reviews yesterday and people only ever mentioned frame rate hiccups, and not game breaking bugs.

      • Ah, reasons, it all makes sense now. I think I’ll grab Firewatch to play this weekend while my wife and kids are away, five or six hours of compelling narrative sounds right up my street. I had bought Transformers Devastation and I was really looking forward to it but it just didn’t click. I think that now I have less free time I’m craving more story and less fighting.

      • Yes it does appear to just me at the moment, which is annoying.

  2. Having grabbed Adventures of Pip in the us store, I hoghly recommend it for any indie/2D platform lover. Its tricky without being silly and inventive with its cute mechanic of switching between different bit versions of yourself

    • Picked it up after watching it played expertly on the youtube channel Higher Plain Games.

  3. The vote for 1 of the PS+ games next month is live as well.

And there’s good news and bad news.

The bad news is that Broforce is winning so far, and it looks shit.

The good news is that if it wins, nobody can ever complain about retro pixel graphics games being on PS+ ever again.

In theory. In practice, I’m sure someone will be complaining whatever PS+ has.

    • All three games look utter crap that I wouldn’t waste my money on.

      • The arse sliding one that I keep thinking is called Action Hank looks kind of fun.

      • I think Broforce has been out for some time on PC & has quite a few let’s plays on youtube etc – With that fact alone, it will win. Because people have actually heard of it.

Its apparently a lot of fun, but what do I know?

I do have to say though that people voting for a pixelated game & Sony deciding to shove at least one down our throats each & every month are definitely different things.

I for one, will continue to moan! ;)

      • When was the last time we had a pixelly game anyway? Been a while, hasn’t it?

      • Not sure tbh – I rarely bother with any of them.

I do like a good moan though. :)

      • He does love a good moan ;)

      • Worst lineup ever. Not even voting.

    • Well that’s terrible news. Personally i would prefer Assault Android Cactus but i would chance the arse-sliding game for shits ‘n’giggles. Which game is second place so far? I’ll vote for anything that will reduce our chances of getting Broforce..

      • Action Henk is second as i’ve just voted for it.

      • Ection Hank was second before you voted for it! Don’t try and claim it’s your doing just to get in our good books!

      • Lol ok ok i mean when i voted it was second ;)

      • Lol, i voted Action Henk thinking, yeah i can make a difference … then i saw that Broforce has twice as many votes..

      • Broforce will win because it has guns and swearing. Sad but true.
