World To The West, Strafe, And Refactor Announced

Rain Games, developers of Teslagrad, have announced a new game set in the same universe called World To The West. You can plays as four characters—Lumina the Teslamancer, Knaus the orphan, Miss Teri the mind bender and the gloriously mustachioed strongman, Lord Clonington— and “explore untamed jungles, frozen tundras and an ancient prophecy.”

No platforms have been announced for the game.

We do have a platform for room-spinning puzzler Refactor and it is coming to PlayStation 4. It is “the world’s first Tetroidvania” and blends Metroidvania type gameplay with Tetris.

Next up is Strafe, published by Devlover Digital. “People want blood. They want tight action,” said Thom Glunt, director of Strafe. “They want speed that makes their face melt off, so they can scoop up the soupy remains and toss it in the air like a liquid confetti.”

Devolver also mention the roguelike elements, with randomly-generated levels, enemies, secrets “and monster closets that promise infinite replayability with pure mayhem every time.”

Strafe will land in 2017 on PC, Mac, and “possibly Linux if everyone would stop f*cking asking about it.” There will also be support for Oculus Rift.

And finally, rather charming PS Vita platformer Kick & Fennick is now coming to PS4, XB1, and Wii-U.
