Here’s An Uncharted 4 Trailer Dedicated To A Multiplayer Taunt

Scouting around for the best Uncharted 4 pre-order deal? Chances are, you won’t find it for much less than forty quid. However, clicking through various retailers, you may be tempted to place a purchase based on the bonus goodies available.

Take GameStop, for instance. Sign for a pre-order and you can bag yourself an exclusive multiplayer taunt. When triggered, this nifty animation will show your character juggling Uncharted 2’s Phurba Dagger from one hand to the other.

It’s pretty cool. So cool, in fact, that Sony and GameStop decided to make a trailer for it…

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will launch on May 10th.

  1. Am I the only person here who thinks this is a joke? It just looks rubbish.

    • Yes, you are the only person that thinks that!

    • Nope, I’m with yer. Rather than a stupid taunt, something like Fox turning up and dropping the Sambomb on their arses would be a guaranteed pre-order for me.

      • HA HA! I’d almost forgotten about the Sambomb! Now that is something I would pay upfront for.

    • It’s a bit silly. Someone will get a kill, think highly of themselves, do the taunt, and get shot whilst doing it. Some taunt…

    • It’s a taunt. Anything you do outside of trying to gun someone down is a risk. It’s a silly risk and a bit of fun. It’ll work or it won’t. Either way, make sure you’re not the one who dies. ;-)

  2. The game itself looks superb. I’m waiting on the reviews but I am confident that they will all be positive.

  3. Not so much a taunt but it reminded me of Victor Vran – aRPG on the PC. We wanted to collect a power-up (mid-battle) and ran into a circle that was protecting it. We thought it would slow us down or cripple us somehow. What did it do? It made our characters dance, Gangman Style. Was hilarious! :D

  4. Gamestop, the robbing barstewards, are charging €75 for the game here in Ireland, whereas Smyths have it for €65 with a €10 discount if you preorder. It’s unlikely i’ll ever look at the multiplayer part so Smyths offer suits me. (They also have €10 discount on the special edition preorder).

    • I’m not sure that’s robbery. It sounds more like capitalism and competition to me…

      • I’m not 100% certain on the barstewarding either… ;)

  5. Anyone reckon this will have a co-op mode? I know it said ‘no co-op for the main campaign’ but that doesn’t mean they still can’t do random other co-op missions like on Uncharted 2. I’m sure I read somewhere they’re still going to release more info on multiplayer side of things.
If so, I’m willing to pay an extra tenner and have a digital version rather than end up swapping game discs every time I fancy a go on it.
