The May PlayStation Plus Games Are Tropico 5 And Table Top Racing: World Tour

Not Watch Dogs then, thanks annoying German hoaxer. Next months PlayStation Plus games have been officially revealed and we’re taking a break from the shooty bang arcade action with the rather more sedate and thoughtful Tropico 5, a full price game that celebrates it’s first birthday in May.

Joining it will be Table Top Racing: World Tour, Teflon has had some time with that game and described it as “TTR is a good bit of fun, with easy to pick up controls and a pleasant take on the tabletop and karting racers.

PlayStation 3 owners get Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and the bonkers but fab LocoRoco Cocoreccho!, so it’s only the PS vita owners who have a sort of rubbish month as their games are Switch Galaxy Ultra and the PSP version of God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Personally I’m a bit miffed about these PSP games there are plenty of big Vita games still not on PS+.

To recap, your full May line up is:

  1. Meh. At least no Watch Dogs, which I already got. Maybe I better play it soon, just in case…

    • Had the same thought… Started it but only played for a couple of hours so far.

  2. I’m quite glad that we get Tropico. I nearly bought it a few times so I’m glad I get it free. I’m not interested in PSP games though but we can’t win them all.

  3. Thanks Sony, thanks a bunch, now I’ve got that bloody Cocorecco song in my head again! I’m basically gonna have to brain bleach it out with Katy Perry or Miley Cirus or something equally shite. Or I could just play Cocorecco again, did it ever get trophies?

    • I don’t think so,got it a few years back and vaguely remember hoping for a patch ha. Wish they’d done a full game on ps3 or now 4 or even Vita! Was an underrated franchise like many others on Psp.

      • LocoRoco was a perfect fit for the PSP and was delightful in every way, especially the singing. A new game would be great but i would happily buy them again on PS4.

  4. The danger of having full-price games on PS+ instead of indie things is it makes things worse when it’s a game you’ve already bought. That’s a lot more money I could have saved by not buying Tropico 5 (even if I did buy it in a sale) than some cheaper indie title.

Oh well. It’s a fun game I’m sure people will still find a reason to bitch about.

And that Table Top Racing thing looks fun too.

But more PSP games for the Vita? That’s a bit rubbish. On the other hand, Switch Galaxy Ultra is quite good. Obviously rubbish if you’ve already got it, but for people who aren’t me, it’s well worth a look (on Vita or PS4)

  5. Switch Galaxy Ultra is actually a pretty decent indie game, and whilst it’s a bit meh that there’s a PSP game, at least it’s a decent one.

Tropico 5 is a great addition too.

  6. Excited for Table Top Racing regardless, but the fact it’s on the PS+ lineup upon release is great news for me.

    • I thought it’d be out for a while? Or I must be thinking of a different game then.

  7. Not a bad update! I nearly bought Table Top Racing the other day as I really enjoyed the Vita version, glad I held off.

I’m guessing Tropico 5 plays similar to Civilization?

  8. Tropico isn’t my bag but it looks like a decent offering for fans of the genre. I tried the Switch Galaxy Ultra demo a go recently (it doesn’t show up in demo section, go to where you purchase it to find demo option) but again not really my genre.
And i already have three of the other games so TTR is the only thing for me this month but it still looks like a decent offering on the whole.

  9. Decent. :)

  10. Probably the best lineup in the past 12 months but I already played Tropico 5 when it was first released. Great game once you get to grips with it.
