While the PlayStation 4 has several huge games on the horizon, Uncharted 4 is without doubt its most anticipated – at least for this quarter.
Although it hasn’t published any figures, Sony has a double-page spread in the latest edition of gaming biz mag, MCV. Again, no solid figures, though it does help to illustrate what actually goes into a marketing campaign for AAA games.
Aside from making an appearance at Deadpool, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and tonight’s Captain America: Civil War, efforts have been made elsewhere to promote Drake’s latest (and last) outing.
Be sure to visit TSA next week for loads more Uncharted 4 info.

Not surprising that they are spending on marketing for a big IP like this but at the same time i expect the game to sell itself.

Watched the Champions League matches the last two evenings, and there were a lot of extremely expensive Uncharted 4 ads all along the field, alternating with Mastercard, Nissan and horrible Gazprom during the full two games. They seem to have a huge marketing budget indeed.

I’m not surprised and it is an excuse for Naughty Dog to more or less go “Hey, check this out.” with what they can do with the PS4. They did it with the PS3 and the first two games. Three didn’t really do much. It would be more surprising if they didn’t shove a lot of cash at it.
If it is the final entry in the Uncharted franchise, i can see ND wanting to go overboard with the marketing and Sony just going “Eff it, we’ll make it back. Here’s the cash.”

I’ll be in the cinema Saturday for Captain America, I guess the UC4 ad must be there.

So they’re marketing how they market things. Okay.
