Discover The Lore Of No Man’s Sky

Sean Murray from Hello Games is back with another video explaining the lore of No Man’s Sky.  “When you see a building, we’ve tried to think of who might have built it, and why,” said Sean, “It’s something we’re excited to see fans uncover as they play, and put their own interpretations on.”

  1. Great that they’ve enlisted a scifi writer and artist for some of the lore and comic, exploring ‘virgin’ territory is great but it’s nice to have some backstory too.
I watched another video last night where Sean was pressed on whether there would be a VR version.
He said that from his pov VR is still waiting for that killer app/lengthier experience, and secondly that NMS would be a perfect fit for VR, but all their focus is on getting the game done for now. Thirdly he suggested a situation where you might be playing the game on tv and then choose to explore a particular planet in VR. Not sure what to conclude from that but it still sounds promising.

  2. I just don’t understand the fuss about this game. Whether you can be the first person ever to explore something or not doesn’t change the fact it just looks boring as hell to me. The visuals & gameplay mechanics don’t exactly look great either.

    • I’d recommend not getting it then :)

  3. Awesome, awesome, awesome, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into some meaty scifi. There’s so much promise in No Man’s Sky that I can’t help but get massively excited! One ticket for the hype train please.

    • Due to leaves on the track and the wrong type of sunshine, the hype train has been cancelled. Instead, the Hype Replacement Bus Service shall arrive.

      • Balls. Alright, I’ll have to use the hype bus then.
