Spiritfarer developer Thunder Lotus has announced that their latest game, 33 Immortals, will be jumping out of Early Access on Xbox and into a full release next week on 10th June, launching for PC and Xbox.

33 Immortals is a large scale raiding game, taking the tone and feel of MMORPG raids but distilling them into shorter, tighter, more singular events. Playing as a damned soul, you’re rebelling against God’s final judgment against you, heading into the 33-player raids solo or with a small party of friends, but then having a bunch of strangers in the mixer alongside you. You have to cooperate to survive a few hordes, level up and then take on huge challenging bosses.

There’s multiple modes in the final game, with the 33-player level being the standard fare, before more challenging realms become available to you for 22-player and the final realm of Paradiso for 11-players. This was added into the game recently with the Paradiso update.

I really enjoyed my time with the game last year, with its Early Access release on Xbox. In my preview, I said, “There’s an engaging core to 33 Immortals, a minimalist tone to the combat that lets you focus on your one job while still working in tandem with allies nearby, and it builds up to a fever pitch as you ascend to the battle at the end of a run. There’s more to come for this game, with Thunder Lotus keeping the 11-player raid under wraps, but with just a few runs under my belt, I can easily see this becoming my go-to game for a medium pressure, medium length blast when I’ve got an hour to kill.”
