What We Played – NBA The Run, Rune Dice & 33 Immortals

It’s been a busy week here at TSA, thanks to the wealth of game announcements and trailers coming out of Summer Games Fest. All in all, I found a lot to get excited about, especially a new Xenoblade game, Final Fantasy Resonance and Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. That should all keep me busy for a while, when they eventually show up, of course. In the here and now, I’ve dived back into Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition for the Switch 2 upgrade, played a new racer that I’m not allowed to talk about yet, investigated the Imperium in Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, and got angry about Marcus Fenix’ jacket.

Starting us off this week, Aran played NBA The Run for review, which he says, “Is fine”. He’s now playing Copa Club for review.

Gamoc played some more Bond with a friend, telling us simply, “It’s great!” He’s also been playing some Watch Dogs 2 and a bit of Rune Dice.

Steve has played the Gothic Remake, a bit more God of War on Vita, the Mortal Shell 2 Beta, and restarted Xenoblade Chronicles with the Switch 2 upgrade, appreciating the massive time sink that it is, saying “So, that’s the next 6 months set for me…”

In a break from the norm, Ade has not had any chance for gaming this week, but he did regale us with what he would have liked to play, telling us, “If I had, and I could have played anything, I’d have played Fallout 2 on my old PC. It probably hasn’t aged well, but at the time, good grief, that game was AMAZING.”

And so we come to Tef, who was excited for the full release of 33 Immortals this week, and has delved back into its MMO-like co-op battles. After sinking a lot of time into it for the Xbox early access last year, he’s having to start all over again with the PC version… but he currently has a 100% success rate for the starting battle world. Maybe he’s a bit too immortal?

So, what have you played? Or, perhaps, what would you have liked to play?
