Watch A Scene From Hellblade In 360°-O-Vision

Ninja Theory have released a fancy pants video which shows a scene from Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice presented in stereoscopic 360° video. That means if you left click your mouse on the video then move it about, you can change where the camera is looking. Please note your browser will need to support 360 videos, so it may not work on mobile devices.

  1. Seen a few of these but it’s the first time I’ve seen a 360° trailer. It was terrible, haha. :D Not only was the resolution crap until you hit 2160k but the bandwidth must be huge too as 1080p looked like shite.

However, the real kicker? This is one of those “cut-scene” moments. It’s driven both narratively and from a cinematographic perspective so giving me control to tool about like a drunk on the dance floor is the last thing you should do.

  2. A novelty for all of 30 seconds then stopped out of boredom and general disinterest. Not quite what a trailer is aiming to do I’d guess.

  3. Unwatchable at 720p, stuttered pretty badly at any higher rate and in the end i deduced it was an option to move a camera that is already moving in the cutscene.
