Ready At Dawn’s De-formers Is A Bit Different To The Order: 1886

To say that Ready at Dawn’s next game is a big change of pace to the moustachioed cover-based shooting of The Order: 1886 is putting it lightly. De-formers is bright, it’s colourful, it’s a multiplayer physics-based brawler, and it’s not a PlayStation exclusive.

All of the characters in the game are heavily stylised and squidgy balls, that you roll around the arena and use their ability to deform to jump, dash, and throw, while trying to beat up the other team. It will feature 8 player multiplayer, with four player splitscreen also planned. Similar to Super Smash Bros., the aim of the game is to knock your opponents off a cliff.

It’s also a new IP that Ready at Dawn will own themselves. Where they’ve long partnered with Sony, De-formers sees them partnering with GameStop and their GamesTrust initiative. It means that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

  1. Quite the departure from The Order and definitely not my bag. Looks like one of those games which gets dusted off once a year when you have visitors who don’t otherwise play games.

  2. You missed “1080p” from your list of things this game “is” compared to 1886. :)

  3. Sign me up! My kinda chaos!
