Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be releasing in December for PS4, and has marked the announcement with a new trailer. Quite a bit of the footage focuses on the Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage, a new chapter that takes place after the events of Birth By Sleep. This part of the game uses the same engine that Kingdom Hearts III does, giving a glimpse of what players can expect in that release. The protagonist is Aqua, an original Keyblade wielder.
The compilation will also include Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] Back Cover, and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. The former is a brand new chapter too that gives background to the foretellers.
