Sea Of Thieves Aiming For Release In Early 2017

It’s been a while since Rare have been making a game that I’ve been excited about, but Sea of Thieves is just such a game. Though no launch date has been announced, Microsoft’s Aaron Geenberg told Kinda Funny Games that they were planning to release in the same window as Halo Wars 2. In other words, it’s coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 some time in the first half of 2017.

Sea of Thieves is designed as an online co-operative experience – though you can be a solo pirate, if you really wish – with crews of pirates working together to sail their ships, explore the open world and even fight other pirates. Over enthusiastic players aside, the E3 demo looked fantastic.

Alas, I can’t embed it, but magic happens when this is blended with the jolly that Brexit had on the Thames earlier this week.
