Adr1ft Will Be Available On July 15th For PS4

505 Games has announced that Three One Zero’s Adr1ft will be released July 15th for PS4 in both Europe and North America, with a price set at $19.99. The game puts players in the role of Alex Oshima who is investigating the events on a destroyed space station, and also trying to make his way back home. The game is available in VR through Oculus Rift but a release on Sony’s PSVR is yet to be confirmed.

At the moment Adr1ft has mostly average review scores, but the premise does sound decent enough.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. I’ll give this a look should it drop on PSVR

    • Thinking the same.
Some kind of rig that lets you float off the floor to go with PSVR would make the experience more realistic. But would cost loads.

      • I think Fassbender might have one you could borrow!

  2. Im on the fence about this game, I really liked the idea of it at first, but it seems to be a sit-down game, rather than room-scale and I’ve found that VR games where I have to sit down (such as Project Cars and Elite Dangerous) make me a bit nauseous.. I have yet to play them long enough to see if I can “power through” it.

If the make the Vive support, work with room-scale, ill be in..

    • So there’s a choice between a nice sit down, or thrashing wildly about the room injuring yourself and destroying furniture and/or loved ones?

Or I guess the 3rd option of “ignore all this silly VR nonsense”. And possibly just have a nice sit down, maybe with cake, anyway.

      • Lol, imagine the damage a rage quitter could cause to himself and others during a session with the electronic hat on! :P

  3. The vive has a blue cage that appears when you are near the edge of your play area, so crashing into things is pretty rare.

As to ignoring it, that’s your choice, but having played with the tech, I truly believe it’s going to have a huge impact on the future of gaming…

    • *sigh* That was a reply to MrYd…

  4. Think I will hang on for the inevitable PSVR version.
