EU PS Store Update 19/07/16: I Am Setsuna, Song Of The Deep, Gal*Gun: Double Peace

This week’s store update brings with it quite a bit of variety. First off you have I am Setsuna which has been designed to be like classic JRPGs. If that isn’t your preference then you can try out The King Of Fighters XIV demo, but if you prefer a speed challenge then 10 Second Ninja X may be for you. You also have the likes of Insomniac’s Song Of The Deep, or the free to play option in Neverwinter.

  1. Is 10 second Ninja Cross buy? And if it is, would it is safe to assume that all or most cross platform games released on the same day are cross buy? :-P

    • It is cross buy. I wouldn’t always assume that as you never know what a release plan could be like. Though it would be silly if that wasn’t the case.

  2. Neverwinter seems quite fun. But it taunts you with boxes you can only open with special keys. Which you can only buy with a currency you have to pay real money for. Somewhere between 87p and £1 for a key to a box that probably only has a tiny chance of giving you something you want.

It’s a reasonably good looking game (in places), and they’ve done a good job with the controls. Some hilariously stiff character animation may occur. And it seems to be less of an open world than most MMORPGs. Which has benefits. Mainly it seems to be spreading the work the servers have to do. Looks like each area is a separate server, or many servers, so there’s no horrible lag.

Worth a look, for free. If you can ignore those locked boxes. And the fact that at higher levels, they’ll probably have found some way to try and make spending money the best option.
