Nioh Beta To Run From August 23rd Until September 5th

Koei Tecmo has announced that the Nioh beta will be running from August 23rd until September 5th, and this will include a new Dojo where players can learn to control the various combat styles. Along with these the  Usuki and Dazaifu stages from alpha will be present, as well as a third unannounced location. A new collection of katana, spears, axes and hammers will be included with the beta too.

Nioh’s story follows that of William Adams, the first western Samurai, and he must face off against the Yokai. He will have allies in this fight like Hanzo Hattori, who heads a ninja clan, acting as the guide along with his cat. It isn’t a normal cat but one that contains the spiritual guardian Nekomata. The samurai Muneshige Tachibana and his wife Ginchiyo Tachibana help teach William combat, and they also have their own guardian spirits.

Nioh is set to launch later this year exclusively on PS4.
