The Yakuza series is renowned for taking its sweet time to make the arduous journey through localisation and be released in the US and Europe. Yakuza 5, for example, was only released over here last December, but had been out in Japan for three years already.
Thankfully, fans of the series can rest a little easy knowing that Yakuza Kiwami – the remake of the original PS2 game that released in Japan back in January – is on the way to the West for release in summer 2017, and that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life – which is coming out in Japan in five days – will follow in early 2018.
