Fox Innovation Lab will soon be unleashing its second VR experience which will be based on Alien Covenant. While that does sound like an exciting prospect Fox Innovation Lab’s only other VR title is The Martian Experience which Tuffcub described as broken rubbish, and basically a waste of £15. The Alien Covenant VR Experience will also be something you have to pay for too, though I’d advise on waiting until there are impressions out there.
According to a description by Fox Innovative Lab users will experience real terror.
“Viewers will discover the true meaning of terror as they navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.”
While platforms are to be confirmed its likely this experience will release on the same ones as The Martian VR experience which includes PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR.

Brilliant news..! The film sounds promising so far, and I’m very much looking forward to it, so I might get this even if it is ‘broken rubbish’…
But what we finally need, that’s the announcement of Alien:Isolation on PSVR. Still waiting…

They really need to do Isolation in VR. Perfect game for it, already developed, just needs some optimisation. Brand new VR dedicated titles seem to do little beyond offering an ‘experience’, why not adapt some classics instead imo.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the new movie after the dreadful Prometheus. Luckily Damon Lindelof has zero involvement in this one, which can only be a good thing.
Such a shame because Prometheus is one gorgeous looking movie but sadly has one of the worst scripts ever put to film. I watched it a second time with no sound and it was a much better movie for it. So much potential squandered by a hack Hollywood writer.
I agree about Alien Isolation VR. THE best Alien game ever made. Would be even more extreme in VR.
