You Can Check Out Part Of PS Exclusive Final Fantasy VII Remake… In A F2P PC Game

Square Enix have announced a cross-over event to coincide with the launch of the Steam version of Mobius Final Fantasy, which is a revamped version of the free-to-play mobile game.

As the game is now on PC there is no need to limit the models used for the characters and sets, so the team have plundered the assets being used to create the Final Fantasy VII Remake and will be using them in the F2P game.

“We received 3D resources from FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, which is currently under development, including Cloud, Guard Scorpion, and the Mako Reactor, which we then set up to fit within MOBIUS FINAL FANTASY,” explained Project Leader Naoki Hamaguchi. “Players will join Cloud, who has gone astray in Palamecia, on his adventures and see how the story unfolds based on his decisions. Content-wise, FINAL FANTASY VII fans will surely become fraught with emotion as events unfold in-game.”

The cross-over will only feature Cloud, other character models such Tifa, Aerith, and Zack will not be imported.

Mobius Final Fantasy launches on Steam on February 6th, the cross-over will start the following day.

  1. It’s not really part of the remake then. It’s just a character model and that is probably very easy to implement. Was expecting to be outraged and go on a text of wall rant.

    • I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say we are all as surprised as you that there is no wall of text.

      • Relieved is the word you were after, not surprised ;)

Says the man who would never type a massive wall of text, ever. Because that’s never good. And neither is sarcasm.

      • I’m sure there will be something to piss me or Hazelam off later on in the day thus fufilling the legeacy of the wall of texts. :P

And MrYd not being a wall of text poster? *Gasps*
