Getting your first house is a pretty big deal these days, considering the state of the housing market right now, but in The Elder Scrolls Online, getting a foot on the property ladder is going to be dead simple.
The Homestead update is going live today on PC and Mac and on 21st February for PS4 and Xbox One, adding the ability to buy apartments, homes, manors and even islands in Tamriel, before making them really feel like home with over 2,000 pieces of furniture, books, barrels, and more.
There’s almost 40 homes to choose from, styled after the game’s 10 races, but the best thing is that your first home is free, as long as you complete a tutorial quest. Free! A home for free! Sadly, it’s only digital, but you’ve got to start somewhere, right?
