Sony have mailed a press release that confirms the numbers of PSVR units sold at 915,000 worldwide as of February 19, 2017, a fact that was released yesterday via the New York Times.
“Since its October launch, PS VR continues to be well received by people around the world thanks to the high quality, revolutionary VR experience it offers. With more than 53.4million PS4 units sold through globally we firmly believe PlayStation VR will take the lead position in the VR market” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. “We are increasing production to meet demand and will continuously support content developers as they create innovative VR experiences that are only possible on PlayStation.”
The statement also reveals that there are now 100 ‘experiences’ for PSVR, and there are over 220 titles in development, of which 100 are expected to launch this year. Whilst not all of these will be games the amount of content on the way is impressive.

How do they make it 100?? The store currently lists 83 things. Some of those are things listed twice.
And if you want actual games (selecting the “games” and “bundles” options on the store), we get a massive 19 matches. But I think that might just be broken.
So 76 unique “experiences” listed on the store. Maybe the US has more, possibly as compensation for having a deranged orange man as “president”?
I can’t be arsed counting how many of those 76 things could be classed as games, or how many of those really need the “Playstation VR Required” label on them.

Did you count all the movie services? And add one bits like the Star Wars DLC?
Also: 76 isnt exactly anything to be sniffed at. Shush young man, three new games were announced just today.
MrYd
That was including all the “experiences”. So yes, whichever movie services haven’t been shut down this week, and the Star Wars DLC.
Oh, and thanks for calling me “young man”. You’re obviously a lying git, but I’ll let you off in this case ;)

I don’t need any more of those “experiences”, thank you very much. How about some real games for a change?

Let me know when these “experiences” become games and ill jump on board.
