Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed By Three Weeks Until 25th April

It’s not often that you see games delayed by just a few weeks, with most developers and publishers sticking to their original date and crossing their fingers that they can cover all the bases with their day one patch. CI Games, however, have decided that they need just a few more weeks to polish Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, and so have decided to push back the release of the game by three weeks until 25th April.

Writing on their blog, CEO Mark Tyminski said, “We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series. While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.”

It’s a nice and positive step by the developer, and one I’d be quite happy to see happen more often.

  1. I recently played through Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 and was surprised by how good it was.
It plays differently to most military FPS games and has a half decent story.
I’m definitely interested in seeing how the third game turns out so bring on the TSA review.

    • To be honest I liked SGW 1 more than the second part. I don’t know why. It’s just that the second part seamed like they have released it too early before the game was finished. I hope that it won’t be the case with SGW 3

  2. I don’t mind. At the end of the day it’s important that the game is finished before it’s released. I don’t care if it’s published early or late April
