SEGA’s Sonic Mania is shaping up to be a throwback to the Mega Drive days on the Sonic series, bringing together old and new areas to mix them up for this nostalgia themed trip. Today SEGA has released a new gameplay trailer that reveals Green Hill Zone Act 2, an area created for Sonic Mania. It expands on the original Green Hill Zone but adds new paths and traversal options.
SEGA has also announced that a series of new bosses will be spread throughout the game, and they are collectively called the Hard Boiled Heavies. The first of these is the Heavy Gunner and he will appear at the end of Studiopolis Act 1. Sonic Mania will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC later this Spring.

Wow, this is looking like a great game. Loving g the shields from Sonic 3 mixing with the wall smashing from Sonic 1.
Can’t wait to play through and see what else they are doing.
