It’s time for a quick little nudge in the direction of the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, as your games for June are now ready for you to download. As usual, we’ve done the “hard work” of going and getting the links for you, so you can just tip-tap your way through to queue them up and have them ready to play when you get home. Well, depending on your internet connection, I guess.

No bait and switch this month, your links are:

Borderlands is back in a big way this year, having started in March with the Borderlands Remaster reviving Gearbox’s original looter shooter for current gen consoles and, of course, the upcoming sequel – catch our hands on impressions in our Borderlands 3 preview. Now’s a great time to head back to The Handsome Collection, which brings together both Borderlands 2 and (the not quite as good) Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in one bundle.

Not only that but, even though it was released back in 2015, Gearbox also went back to it in March to give it an Ultra HD texture pack for free. It’s a separate download from the main game, so you’ll need to head here and grab that as well for the prettiest version of these games:

As for Sonic Mania, well, it’s a classic. Dave said in our review, “Sonic Mania is not only the best Sonic game in recent years, it may just be the best 2D Platformer, period.”

“Sonic Mania surpasses the Mega Drive/Genesis originals. It not only incorporates what made Sonic great, but has the inventiveness to shatter what was possible in a 2D platformer. As a nostalgia trip, it sets the bar for what comes next for the modding community. For those unexposed to what made 2D Sonic great, this is still a solid game in its own right and may create new fans in the process. If being this good took ages, it’s about damn time.”

So there you go. Two (well, three) great games for you to pick up for free right now!
