Salt And Sanctuary Coming To PlayStation Vita On 28th March

Just over year after the game launched on PlayStation 4, Ska Studios are delivering on a long held promise to bring their critically acclaimed 2D action RPG to PlayStation Vita. Salt and Sanctuary is out for PlayStation Vita next week on 28th March.

It’s a fantastic and well regarded game, clearly inspired by the Dark Souls series, but adapting it to a side on viewpoint. In our review, Jim wrote that it is “more like a full-bodied homage as opposed to a cheap knock-off.”

Having originally planned for the game to launch on both PS4 and Vita at the same time, but the game’s ambition saw it delayed. In the end, Ska have teamed up with Sickhead Studios to make the handheld version of the game a reality, with that studio known for their console ports of Stardew Valley, Darkest Dungeon and more.

While things like the interface have been tweaked, to help it fit on the smaller screen, one thing hasn’t changed: it’s still a cross-buy title. If you’ve bought the game on PS4, you’ll own it on PS Vita as well, whether you like it or not. There’s no escaping it!
