You may not have known this, but EA had an agreement with car manufacturer Porsche which meant their vehicles would only appear in EA games. There has been the odd exception, for example Forza Horizon 2 had some Porsche DLC, but only the Need for Speed franchise has regularly featured Porsche cars.
That all changed at the end of last year when the agreement ran out and Gran Turismo Sport has jumped at the chance of including the manufacturer in the game. Check out these ridiculously lovely screens.

Porsche is now a regular thing in racing games. Assetto Corsa has had them for a while, and each Forza game since FM4 has had them at a cost during the licensing period with EA.
Common sense that they make it into GT Sport and other racing games, Porsche can make much more money and publicity out of it.

Wow, how long did they have that agreement for, since the PS1 era? Good news, the RUFs in GT5 were a bit of a token addition, it’ll be nice to see the GT’s and hybrids on the grid, if for nothing else than to reenact silly Top Gear challenged.

The RUFs were good but it was a very limited on models. Now we’ll get the chance to re-enact the Top Gear X The Grand Tour feature with the Porchester 918, LaFerrari and McLaren P1.
