Ubisoft has announced that its online title The Division will be having a free trial weekend this weekend on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The trial will run until May 7th on PC and May 8th on consoles. There’s a current free trial offer that will be suspended in lieu of the free weekend where there don’t appear to be any restrictions on levelling, loot, or locations. The regular free trial caps the level limit at 8 and only allows for six hours of play.
Furthermore any progress made during the free trial weekend will carry over to the full game should the decision be made to buy The Division. While the trial live The Division will be on sale. Ubisoft seemed to have time this trial now due to the nearing of The Division’s second year in which two more expansions will be released for all platforms the game is present on.

While I’ve played the division to death in its early days so won’t be going for this, I do like these free weekends that are becoming more popular. I wish they’d do it with newer games though, it’s not only old games we like to try before we buy.

I agree kind of wish like For Honor but then again Betas are kinda a demo is it not? Only if you are lucky to nab a code that is.

Although these days Betas do serve mostly as a demo, it’s slightly different as the beta doesn’t always work that well with technical difficulties that are expected.
Steam often runs free weekends along side a significant discount on the game, so if you do decide you like it, you can instantly get it for a good price.

Every time the Division is mentioned, I have to think about what it was. Literally just “ah, right, this is a thing. It’s still going?” Good for them for doing a free weekend, i suppose.
Erm……
yeah, that’s about it with my opinion.
I guess, I could throw in a few Ubisoft jokes if there is a demand for it but erm…. i don’t wanna.
