Darksiders 3 was officially confirmed earlier this week following an early listing appearing on Amazon. We learnt that the next character players would control is Fury, one of the Four Horsemen in Darksiders lore, following the pattern of each game focusing on one of those characters. Unlike the hulking War and Death Fury wields a whip and seems to have more agility than her brothers. That’s the impression gained from the pre-alpha gameplay footage below.
Darksiders 3 is expected to release in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Really liking the look of this.
It kinda feels like more of the same but I’m ok with that because I really liked the other games.
Love the style of the new character with her Cyndi Lauper, circa 1984, red hair! Although I’m not sure anyone, horse(wo)man of the apocalypse or not, could run and leap so effortlessly, on metal floor grates… in 4″ heels :D
I liked the boss design. Feels very much like a Darksiders boss battle (in a good way).
Regular enemy design feels a little samey – almost identical to the other games even – but the stories are running parallel to one another so it kinda makes sense to have some familiarity and continuation.
These guys sure do like their long-ass elevator rides.
One other really picky thing I picked up on was the whipping sound. I thought it was a little bit annoying after a while. I think a more metallic sound would be much better.
Overall impressions are very good. I’m happy that they haven’t changed the design aesthetic too much. It still looks and plays like a Darksiders game. The new horseman seems interesting.
The only downside is that we have to wait until next year to play it.
