Nearly three years ago Crytek revealed a game called HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age, a co-op game where up to four players would work together to take on various monsters. Well after its initial announcement the game simply disappeared and we heard nothing more of it. That is until today as HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age is no more. Instead it has been renamed to the more generic Hunt: Showdown.
There isn’t much detail on what direction this game is going in but it does seem to retain something to do with monsters if you take in the giant spider at eight seconds in the background. It appears there will be co-op but the ending also suggests a competitive angle that will be part of Hunt: Showdown too. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
