Ubisoft Ask If You’re Ready For Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 & More Assassin’s Creed

Well, are you? Ubisoft’s flurry of tweeting and newly created forums certainly suggest they’re eager to find out what you think about Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 and a “new era” of Assassin’s Creed.

Considering the leaked imagery from Assassin’s Creed last week, it definitely feels like Ubisoft are getting some of those E3 surprises out of the way, while also trying to ensure that people actually tune in to watch. You’d have to put money on them holding one or two back, though…

  1. Far Cry 5 would need to be significantly different to Ghost Recon Wildlands.

    A new Driver game set in 1970s Cold War Europe could be amazing.

    Roll on Assassin’s Creed!

  2. Far Cry is definitely suffering from 3 and 4 feeling pretty similar, 5 will have to be dramatically different to get me interested.

    I’m not against a few Assassin’s Creed, it’s been a few years since I last played a game so I’d look forward to a quality game that isn’t full of bugs on release.

  3. Far Cry 5 with Dinosaurs and Assassins Creed in Egypt. I don’t care if they don’t make sense, make it happen Ubisoft!

      • No, Far Cry Primal was positively Dinosaur-less, sadly.

        I hoped they would make a Blood Dragon style spinoff for Primal (with Dinosaurs) but it never happened. Missed opportunity if ever there was one.

        This will probably be the same old shtick… some tropical cesspit, with a dodgy drug-dealing ruler and 100 radio towers that need to be hacked to unveil the map… bor-ing!… but I can dream.

  4. All those games need an overhaul. More focus on a good story, less on tedious side missions and huge, yet boring maps to traverse.

    • I concur – none of those announcements interest me. I want a sequel to XIII Ubisoft!!!!

      The Crew 2 could be good if they took a leaf out of EA’s book and drop the “online only” like they’re doing with NFS.

      Also, anyone else think the 5 on FarCry looks fake? Obviously it’s not, but…

  5. The announcement made me go back the The Crew and try the DLC additions. For once, being ‘always online’ was a big help and my game save (pre-harddrive switch with no backup) was actually hosted on the game server. Two years later, I was back in and now trying out the monster trucks. Looking forward to a sequel with some further handling finesse.

  6. Am i ready? Yes. Do i want to see more? No. Far Cry 5 will need to be ovehauled, take the best parts of Far Cr 3 and 4 and scrap Ubisoft towers. Assassain’s Creed needs a 5 year break at least. Enough time to do a new engine, enough time for people to start missing it and enough for it to rest. Instead of the yearly releases in different formats that they are doing.

    That and for it to not be buggy as feck.

    As for the crew, right, that was a thing. Online only BS, wasn’t it?
