Here’s a double hit of Assassin’s Creed news, courtesy of two fresh leaks. As ever, without any official confirmation from Ubisoft, take these with a pinch of salt.

First up we have a thirty-second teaser showing footage from the upcoming sequel, clearly titled “Assassin’s Creed Origins”. It’s an off-screen video and the audio isn’t great, though we can clearly hear someone talking about an Abstergo online attack. If legit, the leaked teaser also confirms that the game will take place in Thebes, Egypt, the year being 1354BC. Compared to the Crusades, Renaissance, and America Revolution, that’s one hell of a throwback.
Secondly we have this image, reportedly posted by an Assassin’s Creed fan at their local Gamestop branch. It shows what could be the lead character in Origins, an assassin named Ba Yek.

UPDATE: As convincing as the “leaked” trailer is, it’s a fake that’s been cleverly conceived by a graphic designer.
