Continuing its push into mobile gaming, The Pokémon Company has announced PokéLand for smartphones. The game is currently being alpha tested in Japan and has been likened to the Pokémon Rumble spin-off series. Trainers will pit their pocket monsters against waves of enemies in arena-style encounters. Naturally, collecting new Pokémon and upgrading their powers is another core focus.
Chances are, it won’t have the same mass appeal as Pokémon GO but is definitely one step closer towards the more traditional, turn-based games in the series. PokéLand is being planned for both iOS and Android though there is no current release date or word of an international version in the pipeline.

That said, Pokémon go has fizzled out or at least, the hype has ended and tis not as popular as it used to be. This? could be on the switch as well.
