Call Of Duty WWII’s Zombies Could Be A Bit Dead Space-y

Call of Duty: WWII is featured in the latest edition of Edge magazine with Sledgehammer boss Michael Condrey revealing a few notes about the obligatory zombie game.

Apparently it will feature a “back story that’s based on real events,” which is intriguing. The Nazi’s involvement with the occult is well documented and has been used most famously in the plot for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Condrey and Sledgehammer co-founder Glen Schofield used to work for EA on the Dead Space franchise and it sounds like they may be bringing some of that game over to Call of Duty. Condrey says the zombie mode will be “unique to our Dead Space signature.”

  1. Sounds like it could be really good. I’ve never really got into any of the zombie modes in a CoD, though I know there’s a lot of love for it. Dead Space was ace, so any similarities is a definite bonus.

I did get into spec ops on mw2, me and my Bro were 3 missions away from the platinum trophy when my ylod ended that dream.

I think I might get CoD this year, for the first time in many years.

  2. So, does this mean that if COD:WWII continues the decline of the franchise, Activision will send some top men to take care of them?

And it may be best to not copy Dead Space Necromophs. Go original. Granted, zombies are pretty much exhausted and you can’t really add much to the idea but dead space zombies? Er… no. That and wouldn’t the nature of COD destroy Necrocodbies?
