[UPDATE] 4A Games Reveal Metro Exodus At Microsoft's E3 Conference

Things have changed.

4A Games has revealed the next entry to the Metro saga with Metro Exodus. The new trailer has shown a bit of a switch when it comes to the survival mechanic as a gas mask is used while underground, while above ground it is discarded. It seems the world of Metro has spaces where the fallout from the war has dissipated, or never reached in the first place. There’s even a train above ground that hints at humanity returning to the surface.

UPDATE: The official press release reveals the game has moved to a more open design and will no longer be forcing you through series of tunnels.

In Metro Exodus, Artyom and a band of survivors must flee the shattered ruins of the Moscow Metro and embark on an epic, continent-spanning journey across the post-apocalyptic Russian wilderness. Explore vast, non-linear levels, lose yourself in an immersive, sandbox survival experience, and follow a thrilling story-line that spans an entire year in the greatest Metro adventure yet.

Looks very nice. Hopefully no timed exclusive nonsense too.

But hasn’t that music from 28 Days Later been used enough yet?

I like the Metro titles though hopefully it’s more tense like the first game.

I love that music! Also, thanks to this, I checked Steam and found the previous games are on a 75% discount for the next 24hours.. Last Light Redux for £3.74? Yes please :)
